Stocking will resume next spring.Ĭheck out the complete 2022 trout stocking schedule. No more stockings for the north-coast lakes in 2022. No more stockings for the mid-coast lakes in 2022. These fisheries typically peak in November and December. Coho fishing in Siltcoos and Tahkenitch Lakes will kick off once we get significant rain to move fish out of the ocean and into the lakes.The larger lakes in the Florence area are your best bet at finding good numbers of trout leftover from the spring stockings. Mid-Coast lakes still have opportunity to catch some trout even though the stockings are done for the season.Fishing should be good as fish are moving upstream to the spawning grounds. Rivers will be on the rise over the weekend and should start to drop into shape next week. Fall Chinook fishing should pick up this week on the mid-coast (Alsea, Siletz, Yaquina, and Salmon Rivers) with the forecasted rain.Heavy rains predicted for Friday this week may put the rivers high and off color for the weekend but fishing should be good when they drop back into shape next week. The Trask should also have some hatchery Chinook returning (Trask River is closed to the retention of wild Chinook as are the other Tillamook Bay rivers). The Klaskanine R, Big Creek, North Fork Nehalem, and Trask R are all getting good numbers of hatchery coho, although some of them are dark. The Nestucca and Nehalem Rivers will offer the best opportunity for retention of Fall Chinook.
